If it wasn’t for sports, I would be living off Youtube and subscription services only. These video podcasts by stand-up comedians are a major reason for that, so I decided to show them love and appreciation the best way I know how … by ranking them. I doubt I have seen every video podcast by a stand-up comedian, so forgive me if your favorite is excluded, and please let me know which one it is so I can give it a shot. Here are the Top 10 Video Podcasts by Stand-Up Comedians:

1) Kill Tony Tony Hinchcliffe, Jeremiah Watkins, Joel Jimenez, Brian Redban, Chroma Chris – Putting Kill Tony on the list is kinda cheating because it is more of a fully formed show than a traditional podcast. I’m actually shocked this hasn’t been picked up by a network yet (HBO, Showtime, Comedy Central, truTV, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime etc …), but maybe it is better off in the long run to just grow on the internet. The quick synopsis of the show is open mic comedians picked randomly out of a bucket get one minute to perform a stand-up routine at the world famous Comedy Store in LA, after which they get interviewed, roasted, and critiqued by Tony and the gang. Hysterical one liners are constantly being thrown around by the main crew, and I’ve quickly become a fan of them all. I’m also looking forward to following the careers of at least half a dozen of the funniest open mic comics. The top names in comedy are regularly on as guests, and a recent episode with Tiffany Haddish is an absolute must watch. It very well might be the best one they’ve ever done. I can’t recommend this show enough if you are a fan of stand-up comedy in any way.

2) TigerBelly Bobby Lee, Khalyla, Gilbert – TigerBelly has unmatched chemistry between the co-hosts and has a very homey feel to the show, probably because it is filmed in the electrical closet of Bobby Lee’s home with his girlfriend, Khalyla. Khalyla is very real, often wise, and brings a down to earth energy to balance Bobby’s off the rails style of comedy. Bobby may act unhinged at times, but he is crazy like a fox, perfectly weaving a mix of relationship drama, personal insecurities, and professional drama with roasting, silliness, and just a generally light, fun, and smart feel. The real relationships, raw nature of the show, and the blend of over the top comedy with a more inward style of comedy creates a mix that puts TigerBelly near the top of this list.

3) Whiskey Ginger Andrew Santino – The new kid on the podcast block, Santino has been churning out killers every week. He has a fast talking, wise cracking style that never allows for a dull moment. With a wide range of guests (Ben Harper, Alexandra Daddario, Gata, and numerous stand-up comedians), Santino has proven equally adept at creating interesting conversations with all of them. My only critique is that he needs to get a new studio. It looks like he records in the waiting room of a strip mall dentist’s office.

4) Congratulations Chris D’Elia – If/when D’Elia starts having guests on, this podcast could shoot to the top of the rankings. He absolutely murders when he guests on many of the other podcasts on this list, thus the potential for greatness here. As is, D’Elia does a solo podcast with a very low key, chill vibe. It is mostly the opposite of his general public perception as Justin Bieber’s favorite comic. He’s relatable, introspective, and just a naturally funny dude who can riff on any topic. I was already becoming a fan based on his hilarious last two Netflix specials, and Congratulations continues to raise his stock.

5) Bertcast Bert Kreischer – Barefoot on the couch and wiggling his toes the entire show, Bertcast makes you think you’re hanging in the mancave with Bert and his buddies. Storytelling is Bert’s strength, and he leans on that with a conversational heavy interview style that feels like a few pals swapping stories. He is an open book about his vices, inside stories from the entertainment world, and he isn’t afraid to dish the dirt every now and then.

6) Joe Rogan Experience Joe Rogan – Objectively, based on views and popularity, JRE should be #1, but this list is my own personal taste. Joe has a very intense, penetrating style, bringing on a variety of guests from every field, which obviously plays very well with millions of people, but I prefer a more lighthearted, loose type of vibe. I’m only bringing up the negatives because I’m guessing most people would rank it higher, but making this list means I truly enjoy the show. I’ll usually learn something new, get motivation, and laugh during every episode. And Joe seems to be really generous with his popularity, constantly bringing on other stand-up comics who he thinks deserve a bump.

7) The Fighter and The Kid Bryan Callen, Brendan Schaub – Nothing beats this show when a funny guest comes in on fire, usually leading to everyone ganging up on Callen, who can more than hold his own. But the show doesn’t need guests to be entertaining. Callen and Schaub have easy chemistry and personalities that perfectly complement each other. Whether shooting the shit about their lives, or commenting on some weird internet news, The Fighter and The Kid brings it on every single episode.

8) Your Mom’s House Tom Segura, Christina P – Your Mom’s House is a very understated dark and deranged brand of comedy. Tom and Christina are married stand-up comedians who make fun of really odd internet videos. Some of the videos are seriously disturbing, not just visually, but from a human nature/mental health standpoint. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll be laughing right along with them, but you kinda feel guilty about it sometimes. Regardless, they have great chemistry, and the two-pronged attack from different perspectives makes for some great interviews.

9) This Past Weekend Theo Von – Like Theo, This Past Weekend has a calm and friendly southern charm, where it feels like a couple buddies sipping moonshine, smoking their pipes and swapping tales about the big city. But don’t let that southern charm fool you, because Theo has a very dry, uniquely sarcastic sense of humor, and if you don’t listen carefully he can easily slip a viciously hilarious joke past you. Both solo and with guests, this podcast is a consistent source of laughs and good conversation.

10) Riffin with Griffin Erik Griffin – Erik is funny looking and funny sounding, and I mean that in the best possible way for a comedian. He is also smart and witty which allows him to take the conversation in any number of different directions. He’s been hitting up his old Workaholics buddies to get his relatively new podcast off the ground, and they have been two of his best episodes so far. The podcast is part of Bill Burr’s All Things Comedy Network, which has been killing the game recently with Something’s Burning with Bert Kreischer, Bill Burr’s Guide to Driving Etiquette, and Poker Table.
